Bran Capital is an Android application published under the package name uk.co.branhold.asset.holdco.field and provided by BRAN HOLDINGS LTD. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when a group finance analyst uses the app to check each subsidiary's directors against the governance courses the holding company expects them to have completed, to see the courses still owed and to review the estimated shortfall cost before the board pack goes out.

The app is built to work locally on the device. The review material entered into it is stored in the app's own storage on the Android device and is not automatically transmitted to the developer as part of the core workflow.

This policy applies to the Bran Capital Android application and to the company that provides it.

Data Stored on Your Device

The app keeps the review material you enter in its own storage on the Android device. This local content stays on the device and is not automatically transmitted to the developer as part of the core workflow. It may include:

• One line for each director, covering subsidiary, role, review date, course fee, completion date and booking status
• Courses a director has completed, with the completion date, certificate reference and modules
• Required courses, with their fee and course hours

App Settings and Temporary Files

Alongside your review material, the app stores its own settings and display preferences and its interface state, such as the saved list order. These relate to how the app behaves rather than to the substance of your review.

The app also keeps one temporary file in its cache: the text file that was last shared, held only until the next share replaces it or until local app data is cleared.

Exporting, Sharing and External Actions

You can send a result out of the app when you choose to. A result can be shared as a plain-text file through the Android share sheet, and it can also be copied as text to the device clipboard. Each of these actions is started by you; nothing leaves the app on its own, and the app does not upload your records to the developer or to any server.

The app may also open external Android services, such as a browser, your email client or the share sheet, when you select such an action. Those external services operate under their own privacy practices.

If you contact the company by email, the company receives the email address you write from and the contents of your message.

Android Permissions

The app declares one Android permission: android.permission.INTERNET. This permission is declared by the framework the app is built with, and the app itself makes no network requests. No other Android permissions are declared by the application.

What the App Does Not Include

The application does not require login or account registration and does not use cloud synchronisation or backend storage. It does not provide payment or subscription functionality and does not provide monetisation features. It does not include advertising, analytics or behavioural tracking, and it does not include third-party service SDKs that receive app data.

Managing and Deleting Local Data

Individual entries can be deleted inside the app, and the app also provides a control for clearing all local data. Clearing local data removes the review material the app holds on the device, together with the app's own settings, display preferences and interface state and any temporary file in its cache.

Local app data can also be removed through the Android device settings, or by uninstalling the application.

Important Use Notice

The app supports an internal review process for the holding company's group finance analyst, and its output has the following limits:

• The app stores its data locally on this device only
• Data stays on the device unless the user shares or copies it
• The shortfall cost is an estimate built from the course fees and completion dates entered, and should be checked before it is used
• Booking statuses and gap actions are a working aid for the group finance analyst and do not record a decision by the holding company
• The app estimates costs only and books no courses

Retention and Security

Local review data remains on the device until you delete it in the app, clear local app data, or uninstall the application. A file you share or copy remains wherever you save it or send it, under your control and outside the app.

Reasonable measures are used to support the integrity of the application. Local app content stays in the application's own storage on the device and is not held on company servers. You remain responsible for securing your own device and any copies you export or share. No method of electronic storage or transmission can guarantee complete security.

UK and EEA Data Rights

The app is provided from England. Because the app stores its data locally and does not automatically transmit it to the developer as part of the core workflow, personal data is not processed by the company in the course of that workflow.

If you are in the UK or the EEA, you may have rights under applicable data protection legislation, including rights of access, correction, deletion and restriction, where applicable under law. Whether those rights can be exercised depends on whether personal data is processed in a particular situation. User-created local content may contain personal information if you choose to enter it.
